Hi, I just joined this forum for help with my new Fallout games (Fallout 1, 2 & Tactics). I just asking about which patch goes next from my Fallout version 1.1? If you do patch the game do you have to start a new game? Please let me know so I can play a bug free Fallout 1 game, thanks?

There reside patches: 1.2 semiofficial and 1.3 unofficial. Grab them both and install sequentially. Version in the main menu should read as 1.2. That's normal. And, yes, you must start a new game after the installation. Don't even try to load saved games from the older versions. That will not do anything good.

Have you read 'Installation' sections of the readme files carefully? Everything is explained there. In general, you are to extract all the contents of the packages into your game directory. Just where falloutw.exe could be found. All the modified resources will be placed in the respective directories automatically if you select 'extract with pathnames' option. Don't forget to answer 'Yes' for all 'Overwrite file?' questions during extraction.

Readmes are in the compressed files you have downloaded. Use WinRAR and open those.

I glad to hear that. Patches fix plenty of things but there could be some more unnoticed bugs. Or minor errors in the patches themselves. Make us know if you'll find something that still works wrong. Good luck.
